PRO BONO – Visually impaired woman won a case in the Supreme Court of Lithuania

The Supreme Court of Lithuania finally awarded compensation and returned the visually impaired woman back to work, after she had been dismissed from work in violation of the statutory procedures. Our law firm assessed all the circumstances in this case and represented the client pro bono for over a year; however, we reached the favourable outcome in this case, representing her in the cassation instance court.

The Supreme Court of Lithuania stated that in the first and the appeal instance courts had failed to apply the norms of law correctly and the court awarded a considerable compensation and returned the woman to work which was the only source of livelihood to her.
